The Node.js project does not prohibit the use of AI tools in contributions, but when the contribution is generated with AI, the contributor should disclose the use of such tools
It's fine to use LLMs to answer questions, analyze, distill, refine, check, suggest, review. But not to **create**.
All AI usage in any form must be disclosed. You must state the tool you used (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Amp) along with the extent that the work was AI-assisted.
We generally *do not encourage* AI-assisted contributions
We can accept code written with the help of AI into the project, but the code must still follow coding standards, be written clearly, be documented, feature test cases and adhere to all the normal requirements we have.
Contributors are expected to be transparent and label contributions that contain substantial amounts of tool-generated content.
Contributions must not include content generated by large language models or other probabilistic tools, including but not limited to Copilot or ChatGPT.
Redox OS does not accept contributions generated by LLMs
Current QEMU project policy is to DECLINE any contributions which are believed to include or derive from AI generated content. This includes ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Llama and similar tools.
No LLMs for patches / pull requests.
You must not share projects that mostly consist of code written by "generative AI"-tools (including services such as *Claude*, *OpenAI Codex*).
Debian neither endorses nor prohibits the use of generative AI tools in the development, maintenance, or documentation of software, packaging, documentation, and other media published within the Debian Project.
You MAY use AI assistance for contributing to Fedora, as long as you follow the principles described below.
It is expressly forbidden to contribute to Gentoo any content that has been created with the assistance of Natural Language Processing artificial intelligence tools.
Code generated by a large language model or similar technology, such as GitHub/Microsoft's Copilot, OpenAI's ChatGPT, or Facebook/Meta's Code Llama, is presumed to be tainted code, and must not be committed without prior written approval by core.
